Olive stearin candles

Handmade candles made from 100% olive stearin, which are completely vegan and environmentally friendly.

Olive stearin is made from pure olive oil, unlike "ordinary stearin" which is usually made from animal fat and/or palm oil. We also do not add any paraffin to our candles, making them even more environmentally friendly.

Our candles burns with a large and clear flame that burns cleanly and forms beautiful spiderweb patterns as the pillar candles burn down.

Handmade Candles from Olive Stearin

We handcraft our candles using 100% olive stearin, a pure and natural raw material derived from olive oil. This makes our candles a more environmentally friendly alternative to “regular” stearin, which often contains animal fat and/or palm oil. We are especially proud to say that our olive stearin is ECOCERT-certified, a quality mark ensuring that the raw material meets strict standards for sustainability and environmental responsibility. Additionally, we have chosen to avoid paraffin, a byproduct of the oil industry, to create candles that burn cleanly and gently on the environment. This is also why we cast our dinner candles instead of dipping them, as dipping requires paraffin.

Our candles have a beautiful, crystalline surface where the natural stearin crystals stand out, giving a unique texture. When the candle burns down, a lovely lace or "spiderweb" effect may form, which many appreciate. If this doesn’t occur, it’s usually due to external factors like drafts or temperature differences.

Tips to Prevent Dripping Candles

We do our best to create candles that don’t drip, but as with all stearin candles, ours may occasionally start dripping. If this happens, we recommend extinguishing the candle, trimming the wick slightly, letting it cool and solidify, and then relighting it. This can reduce the risk of dripping and helps maintain a steady, calm flame.

Always burn your pillar candles on a plate.

For optimal burning, we recommend using your candles in open spaces rather than in lanterns. When a candle burns in a lantern, the airflow is affected, which can cause the flame to burn poorly and potentially lead to dripping. If you prefer to use a lantern for ambiance, we suggest choosing one as large as possible to provide the candle with enough air.

We hope this information helps you enjoy our candles to the fullest and that you appreciate the care and craftsmanship that goes into each candle we create.
