Yvelis is a small family-run business from Roslagen, Sweden, where we handcraft scented candles, stearine candles, and reed diffusers – with care, experience, and a strong focus on sustainability. Our products are vegan, eco-friendly, and made in small batches, which means high quality and a personal touch in every piece.
We’re here for you who want to offer your customers a more conscious, sustainable, and beautiful choice when it comes to home décor and gift items – something that stands out from the big commercial brands and carries the warmth of real craftsmanship and genuine passion.
While we also sell directly to individuals, our heart beats for collaborations with retailers who share our love for quality, fragrance, and thoughtful details.
How it all started
My name is Yvonne Medin, and I started Yvelis over 14 years ago. Back then, I was working as a department store manager, but deep down, I longed to do something I truly cared about. I’ve always loved perfumes and scented candles – but I found it hard to come across candles that smelled amazing and were kind to both health and the environment.
So, I started experimenting on my own. How hard could it be? (Spoiler: very!) I tested all kinds of ingredients, fragrance oils, and waxes. After hundreds of tries, I finally cracked the code. That’s how Yvelis was born – named after my first and middle names, Yvonne and Elisabeth.

Who’s behind Yvelis?
These days I run Yvelis together with my husband Jörgen – he’s the one handling fairs and keeping our warehouse in check. My daughter Caroline is also a natural part of the team. She helps out in production and makes sure our lovely retailers get all the support they need.
Together we handcraft every single candle in our workshop – which happens to be in the same building as our cozy little candle shop, just a stone’s throw from our home in the countryside outside Norrtälje.
Our Philosophy – Scent with Care
For us, it’s not just about the scent – it’s about how the scent is created. Our candles are handmade with Swedish rapeseed wax – an eco-smart choice that grows close to home without harming the climate. We’ve said no to paraffin, palm oil, and soy wax.
Our stearin candles are made with olive stearin, produced from pure olive oil and ECOCERT-certified – completely free from animal fats and environmentally harmful palm oil. Yes, it’s trickier to make candles this way, but we think it’s worth it.
We use top-quality fragrance oils from France and carefully selected essential oils. The result? Scents that are true to their names, just the right strength, and long-lasting. No chemical smell, and we often hear from our customers that our candles don’t give them headaches!
We offer several collections – our Original Collection is a popular and affordable favorite, with frosted glass jars and soft, easy-to-match colors. It blends in beautifully with different styles and works great in shops selling flowers, interiors, or lifestyle products.
Nature by Yvelis is our exclusive line in muted green glass – stylish and elegant, perfect for salons or stores with a more refined vibe.
No matter the collection, each candle is thoughtfully designed to look lovely and smell gently yet distinctly – something your customers will appreciate and come back for.
