IF IN EYE: Rinse with water for several minutes. Remove any contact lenses if possible, continue rinsing.

What does CLP labeling mean – and why is it on our candles and reed diffusers?

Accorrding to the EU CLP regulation, all products containing fragrances must be labeled with safety information, the same rules that apply to cleaning and laundry detergents, for example.

The CLP legislation is designed for products that are used directly on the skin or flushed down the drain. Some fragrances can cause allergic reactions when they come into contact with the skin, and some can be harmful to aquatic organisms if they end up in the environment. Our candles and fragrance sticks are not used in this way, but are still subject to the same requirements.

Warnings such as “harmful to aquatic organisms” apply if the product is poured into the environment or the drain, not during normal use in the home.

We follow the CLP regulations carefully and see the labeling as an important part of our transparency.
