Handmade stearin candle made from 100% olive stearin
We hand-pour our stearin candles from olive stearin, a vegan stearin made from olive oil. It is ECOCERT-certified and free from palm oil, animal fats, and paraffin.
Olive stearin is a raw material that requires more in the production process, but it creates a living flame with a beautiful character.
The candles burn with a large, clear flame and a warm glow. As the pillar candles burn down, a natural crystal pattern often forms, sometimes referred to as a spiderweb effect. It is part of the stearin’s character and makes each candle unique.
The candles are unscented and created to provide a beautiful and living light.

About our stearin candles
Many candles sold as “regular stearin” are made from animal fat or palm oil. We have chosen a different path.
Vegan stearin candles without palm oil are still quite uncommon.
We have chosen to work with pure olive stearin because it is a plant-based raw material that makes it possible to produce vegan stearin candles without palm oil. It requires a different material and a different way of working, but it also creates a candle with a distinct structure and character.
All our candles are hand-poured in our candle workshop in Roslagen, in small batches where each step in the process is given the time it needs.
Since we do not use paraffin, our taper candles are poured rather than dipped. It is simply not possible to dip candles without paraffin. This is part of our craftsmanship and a requirement for working with pure olive stearin.
Our stearin candles develop a natural crystal-like surface where the stearin crystals become visible in the material. As a pillar candle burns down, a tip or pattern, often referred to as a spiderweb effect, may form. How visible the pattern becomes depends on external factors such as drafts and temperature.
